Center for Galactic Astronomy
The Center for Galactic Astronomy was established in 1987 with funds acquired from the National Science Foundation, the Perkin Fund and other agencies to carry on the study of the structure and evolution of the galaxy. Spectrophotometric analysis, image processing and other data reductions are carried out at the CfGA using the Image Reduction and Analysis Facility (IRAF) software suite developed at the National Optical Astronomy Observatories.
