The Jane Goodall Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies
The Jane Goodall Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies is a unique partnership between The Jane Goodall Institute, a private non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife research, education and conservation, and Western Connecticut State University.
By design, the Center will link the extraordinary resources of The Jane Goodall Institute with Western Connecticut State University's long-standing commitment to teacher education and community outreach.
The University's exemplary arts and sciences programs and research capabilities will further complement this collaboration.
The Center will offer interdisciplinary programs for students, educators and the community that foster an understanding and awareness of issues relevant to the environment, both natural and human-centered.
