Distinguished Alumna:
Sharmese Hodge '01
BS,
Justice and Law Administration
Sharmese Hodge graduated from WestConn in August 2001. The same day, she began orientation at the George Washington University Law School.
After graduating from GW Law in 2004 and returning home to Connecticut, Sharmese was admitted to the Connecticut Bar on November 1, 2004. In January 2005, she opened her own general practice law office. She maintained a solo practice for over a year and a half before moving to a larger office with attorneys Roy Krueger (a WestConn alumnus from the class of 1998) and Daniel Sahl.
Her latest career move has been to the Office of the State's Attorney,
located in Danbury, as a deputy assistant state's attorney. When asked why
she left private practice Sharmese responded, "I love being a lawyer and
want to give back to the community by doing justice."
