Petra Volinski completed a B.S. in Health Science at WestConn while working as the Wetlands Enforcement Officer for the Town of Kent and later as the Water Protection Manager at Housatonic Valley Association, a non-profit watershed organization. Later, she earned an M.S. in Resource Management and Administration at Antioch New England University in Keene, N.H. She went on to work for Clean Water Action where she lobbied the State General Assembly to protect our health from toxic chemicals found in consumer products. She heads up an invasive species task force for the Goshen Land Trust, which maps and manages invasive species on the land trust’s properties. She volunteers with Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters where she and her husband mentor a child. She is an active member with the Connecticut League of Women Voters-Litchfield chapter, League of Conservation Voters, Goshen Friends of the Library, Goshen Agricultural Society and Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association.
