Jessica Dey of Torrington, CT received her BA is Studio Art. She also studied fine arts at Northwestern CT Community College in Winsted, CT. She does commission work in fantasy and abstract. In 2008 Jessica she worked on a mural of artists and music in Al Hillah, Iraq, coordinating with Iraq artists to paint the side of a boy's school in Al Hallah, Iraq.
Jessica says, "I have gone my whole life feeling out of place and time, feeling more at home in the pages of a fantasy novel. My paintings reflect the place I would rather be, the people would rather be with, and the world suits who I want to be. I am able to walk freely through the paintings and feel like they are my true home. My work is surrealistic in nature and presents narrative fantasy portraits set in deep landscapes. The life size portraits feature landscapes that reflect a season that has a transcendent connection to the mystical figures. "
