Marjorie (Rubin) Echols  (1981)

  Marjorie Echols received her degree in graphic design as one of the first graduates in the graphic design program and also has a nursing degree.  She is a practicing artist living in Sandy Hook, CT and she works in many mediums.  She is a signature member  of the National Acrylic Painter Association of the United Kingdom USA.  She is a founder and past president of the Still River Artists Association and a former gallery owner.  She was active in the Richter Arts Association, elected to the Association membership in the National Museum for Women in Washington, DC.  Marjorie is a past member of the National and State Women's Caucus for Art, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Katonah Contemporary Museum and the Merry-Go-Round Gallery. 

Currently she is affiliated with the Brookfield Craft Center, Washington Art Association, Society for Creative Artists in Newtown, Housatonic Art Association, Mattatuck Museum and Bethel Arts Junction.  Marjorie's works are shown in galleries and collections in Connecticut, New York, Vermont, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Rhode Island and London.

Her new book Traditional Beaded Flowers is ready to go to press.  She is working on a coffee table photography book and an historical novel based on her own family in America since 1635. Marjorie can be reached at mse210@cs.com
