Pamela Hochstetter (1980)

Pamela Hochstetter, ’80, summa cum laude.  Master of Divinity degree, Yale University Divinity School, ‘91.

In 2001 Pamela opened a practice in Expressive/Process Painting entitled, InnerArt.  Her training was with veteran art therapist, Jane Gross, MA, LCSW.  She assists individuals and groups on their journey of self-discovery using painting and other art forms, meditation, dialogue and journaling.  She works hard to practice what she preaches.

Her departure from the “mainstream” began overtly in 1986 when she enrolled at Yale University Divinity School.  One of Pamela’s most valuable experiences in the program was her training for chaplaincy at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Instead of pursuing ordained parish ministry Pamela became seriously ill for several years.  During the process of her recovery she had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of healing modalities.  She considers the learning of that period her Ph D program in complementary medicine.  InnerArt is a result of all that experience.

She greatly appreciates the academic foundation WCSU provided her with, and is pleased that her son, Ian is also an alumnus. Her husband, Glen, studies at Western as well.
