Marylen (Svec) Hossan '53

Marylen Hossan graduated from The Danbury Teacher's College with a degree in elementary education. She taught first grade most of her life and is now taking care of her grandchildren, taking art classes and showing her work. She concentrates on acrylics, pen & ink and pastels.

Marylen is proud of her daughter Elizabeth who has a nursing degree from WestConn. She won $10,000 when chosen Nurse of the Year. Elizabeth is a nurse practitioner in Houston, Texas at MD Anderson Hospital.
