Nancy White Cassidy '96, MFA '05
Nancy White Cassidy is a fine artist in pastels, fine arts instructor and a children’s book illustrator. She is also creating illustrations for young adult and editorial markets.
Nancy is a faculty member of the Washington Art Association, the Brookfield Craft Center and Fletcher Farm School for the Arts & Crafts in Ludlow, VT. She also teaches at Naugatuck Valley Community College and privately at her studio, House on the Hill Studio, in New Milford, CT. She designed, and is webmaster for, the Washington Art Association and the Brookfield Craft Center websites, as well as several art related sites. She also does demonstrations and shows throughout the region.
Her work has been published by Barbour Publishing, Harcourt Brace, Scott-Foresman, among others. She has advertised in the Directory of Illustration, volumes 15 through 17 and her work will appear in Picturebook in the fall of 2001.
Nancy continues to show her work including a series of river landscapes in acrylic on canvas at the Washington Art Association. She was commissioned to do illustrations for Harcourt Educational, Lifeway Christian Resources, AGS Publishing and Continental Press.
She illustrated a book called "Go West" for Santilana Publishing and did over 100 illustrations entitled "The Secret Box of St. Jacques" for Augsborg Fortress Publishers. She also was published in "Click" Magazine.
Nancy is Represented by Storybook Arts, Inc. (www.storybookartsinc.com), Janet DeCarlo, artist agent. She works on commission to create illustrations for the children's book industry. Past clients include: Harcourt-Brace, Scott-Foresman, Green Mansion Press, International Bible Society.

Nancy also created the designs for the panels of the chandeliers that were forged by Ryan Blessey. She was featured in the News Times on April 9, 2003.
