Alistair Barnett '99 is the manager of technical support at Chili Systems, Inc., home of the Network ToolBox. He is also responsible for producing the marketing materials, as well as the design and maintenance of the company's Web site.  Below are some of the sites he has done:

Jessica Espinel '99  is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator - Currently a full-time Graphic Designer for the Marketing Departing of Pitney Bowes Inc. Jessica specializes in corporate identity and print collateral, with extensive experience in conference and expo development and manipulation of digital images. Carmen Espinosa '99 (Viviana) is working as a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at the Housatonic Regional Transit District (HART). She is teaching at CUNY in Manhattan, and also finishing my master's at NYU.

Sarah Kinsman Quinn '99 is the Advertising and Graphics Coordinator for LandVest, a multi-million dollar Real Estate firm in the financial district of Boston. She is currently redesigning all ads that come out of the office for high end luxury real estate publications that run mostly on the Eastern seaboard but also nationally. Example of some of the ads that she designs are in the Wall Street Journal every Friday.

Sarah and three other girls in her department  run all aspects of marketing, advertising and graphic needs for the company. She is enjoying the Boston area. She said, "Anyone interested in exploring what we do can check out the website at www.landvest.com"

She is also working on an Illustration / Web project in which she hopes to launch her artwork in various forms of posters, cards, stickers, etc. Details are being hammered out still but she plans to have the site completely up and ready for business by the end of this year.

Anne Newbury '99 returned to school after her retirement as an audio/speech therapist. She enjoys painting and drawing for herself, family and friends and does work for others upon request.

Eric Sengelen '99 is an interior/exterior house painter in between his artistic pursuits. In his most recent juried shows, Eric won honorable mention at the Richter Association for the Arts in illustration and the Golden Pallette at the Watertown Art League for his abstract painting. He was also commissioned for the new sign for the Pratt Center  in New Milford.

Jennifer Stephens '99 is working as a Digital Imaging Specialist at Household Products, Inc, a subsidiary of Black and Decker, located in Shelton, Connecticut. She has also been shooting live band photography of several bands, and will have some of her latest photos up on www.mi5recordings.com from a Jesus Jones live performance in NYC.

Tad Sterling '99 is the art director at Ryan Partnership in Westport, CT. He manages the jobs for photography, illustration and art composition and brings it to finalization.
Sean Tuvelle '99 is an art teacher at the John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx. He has won awards in national art competitions in New York and and Connecticut and was commissioned to paint the portrait of the principal of Columbus High School.

Carrie Vogt '99 is living in Fairfield, CT and is co-manager of Victoria's Secret  in Greenwich, CT. She is in correspondence with the Victoria Secret Beauty Company to work in New York City on packaging design, product development and visual presentation standards.

Kyung Bae '00 came from Korea six years ago with a degree in graphic design from home and now has a complimentary degree from Western. She enjoys creating logos and illustration work. She can be reached at BaeKyungSook@aol.com
Kevin Borchardt '00 plans on becoming a comic book artist and maintains a site at eyeshaos.com

Besides honing his drawing technique, Kevin has concentrated on the use of oil & watercolor paints, as well as pastels.  He has also designed tattoo art, a demo cover, several logo designs for a punk band "Murdershift", and several poster designs.

Kevin's main art style is of the superhero/comic genre, but is not limited to such. The style used can go from the very simple to the very detailed, from the very realistic to the semi-abstract, and various styles with in such. Influences include Japanese animation, early 20th century Russian art, and the more current styles of comic book art used since the mid-90s.

Ariel Brandt '00 went on to SCSU to get a degree in Social Work and in July 2004 took the trek across the United States to settle in California.  She is now a social worker for the Mental Health Association of San Mateo.

Michelle Hebert-Burns '00  has moved to Neuilly Sur Seine, just outside of Paris France with her husband and two children.  She is taking art classes through WICE, an English speaking group based in Paris.  She is taking painting with Jan Olssson and Evening Drawing in the Louvre with Anne Gorouben.  Gorouben is showing at Galerie Ileana Bouboulis in Paris.  Michelle is also taking a French class and then hopes to take additional art courses.  She can be reached at sburns@wanadoo.fr.

Melissa Hatch '00  has completed her first year as an MFA student at WEstConn and is painting murals in residential homes of friends and family as well as by request. She is a part-time assistant to Elizabeth MacDonald, an artist in Bridgewater and is hoping to get Mina Malina Has Lost Her Spots published in the near future.

Maria Jurgens '00 plans on getting her masters and hopes to teach kindergarten.
Bethany Klinger '00 will be interning this summer as a forensic photographer at the Westchester County Forensic Lab.

Brian Lothson '00 is currently an Art Director at Tracy Locke Partnership, a marketing firm located in Wilton. He on the customer marketing team which develops promotional materials for Pepsi and Frito-Lay. Brian creates point of sale materials for the US market for Wal-Mart, Target, Albertsons, 7-Eleven, Subway and other major stores. He has worked on promotions for Austin Powers, Jeff Gordon, Britney Spears, The NFL, Major League Baseball and The X-Games. Brian has also created advertisements for trade publications and a television commercial for a "Shoot for a Million Dollars" at the ACC College Basketball Tournament. Darren Morgenthaler '00 is a web developer and design leader at Coolfire.Interactive. He provided the project lead in company branding and redesign of Coolfire.Interactive's website. He also designed and developed several internal Ford Motor Company sites such as Ford Product Specialist and Ford Finance.

Bea Prunty's '00 passion in art lies in color and light.  Basically an en plein air landscape painter, Bea credits Margaret Grimes' and Plonia Nixon's work as her inspiration.  

Her 1983 teaching degree in English is complemented by a May 2000 BA in Studio Arts from WestConn and she is pursuing her MFA.

Her work hangs in the T. Kevin Murtha Corporate Law offices in New York, in the Marge Bell collection and locally at WestConn in the Vice President's office. 

Bea also continues to sell and show her oils and watercolors privately.

Ryan Saghir, '00 is working as the creative director at Index Stock Imagery, one of the world's leading stock photography agencies, located in New York City.
