Robert Alberetti

Robert Alberetti is a part time professor of art at Western. He teaches painting, watercolor, collage, drawing and MFA courses. He received his BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, a MS from Rhode Island School of Design and his MFA from Arizona State University.

He teaches workshops at the Caifiordi Art School in Pietralunga, Italy and the Washington Art Association, Washington, CT. He has exhibited in museums and galleries nationally and internationally. His work is included in over twenty-five corporate collections. He works in oil, collage, mixed media, watercolor and encaustic.

Influenced by his travels and research in Italy, France, Turkey, Spain and Ireland, Alberetti's work reflects his love of color, the unique qualities of materials and the emotional responses evoked from abstraction.  His most recent works are concerned with the spiritual qualities of lights, opaque versus transparent media, varied textures, and controlled gestural marks.   He maintains a studio in New Fairfield.
