Margaret Grimes pays homage to nature through close observation of her landscape near her studio in Washington, Connecticut. She captures nature's complexity in images of tangled branches, profuse foliage and thickets of vines. Motifs assume a majestic presence once reserved for representations of the human figure.

Besides teaching and showing her work regionally, Margaret Grimes is a member of the Blue Mountain Gallery, an artist owned and operated, not for profit gallery located at
