Ancell School Alumni Mentor Program
Success, in today’s economy, requires more than just academic performance. It also requires knowledge of the business environment and the ability to navigate within it. The purpose of the Ancell Mentor Program is to provide students with the knowledge they need to be successful, and the opportunity to network with experienced professionals in their chosen field. The Ancell Mentor Program is a career building tool. It is not a job placement program.
The Ancell Mentor Program at a Glance
Mentor/Mentee partners will meet at least twice per semester. Face to face meetings are encouraged but Skype, email and other ways to meet are acceptable. Mentor meetings will be held from October to May, to discuss business issues, career paths, personal concerns, and professional experiences. Some Mentor activities might include providing an overview of the Mentor’s company, inviting students to the Mentor’s company, arranging meetings with company executives, etc. Mentors might also discuss their work history or what they feel they did that was important to their success.
Who Can Participate?
Ancell School of Business students who have 45 or more credits, and are in good standing are invited to participate. Graduate students are welcome too. We recommend this program for highly motivated students.
