CS 444 - Computer Networks
4 semester hours
An introduction to computer networks and data communications. A
study of network organization, telecommunication principles, network
software and hardware, and examples of existing networks. Data
communications: concepts, modes, devices, coding theory, and systems
structures. Networks types, structures, topologies, and protocols.
ISO reference model: protocol layers and functions. LAN and WAN.
Network programs will be implemented using operating system
services.
