MAT 120 - Elementary Statistics

3 semester hours

An introduction to the practice of statistics that emphasizes elementary data analysis and inference. Topics include correlation, regression, probability models, estimations, hypothesis testing of various parameters and analysis of variance. Examples will be selected from many fields, such as anthropology, business, medicine, psychology, the natural sciences, sociology and education. Students will be expected to use appropriate computer software. (Not open to students who have passed MAT 115.)
Prerequisite: MAT 100 or appropriate test score
