Academic Advisement
|
Advisement is Important! Developing a good working relationship with your advisor is an important factor of college success. Your advisor will help you keep on track to your graduation target date.
Schedule an Appointment Early Check on Banner for your advisor's name and advisement date. Allow sufficient time for an appointment prior to that date. You may not be able to schedule an advisement appointment on your registration date so plan early. See Faculty for contact information for your advisor. If your advisor is not available on a specific day or time, contact another member of the marketing faculty. If you don't have a Banner Account see Information Technology & Innovation.
Seniors Must Apply for Graduation The deadline for May graduates is November 1, August graduates is February 1, and January graduates is April 1. To download an application click here. Seniors must also send a request to Dr. Drozdenko for admission into MKT 490. You cannot register for this course online. |
Preparing for Advisement 1. Review your program sheet. You can find program sheets in trays on the wall outside of WS 385 or you can download program sheets for the general track and interactive marketing option here:
For more information about these options see Programs.
2. Draft a schedule based on the recommended course sequence page attached to your program sheet. You can use to help you determine the courses to take. 3. Things to remember : Complete your required Math and English courses as soon as possible. These courses are prerequisites for upper level courses. Take FIN 230 immediately after you have completed the necessary prerequisites for this course. FIN 230 is the prerequisite for several core business and marketing courses.
4. Check on open/close for course availability in Banner or on the WCSU site.
5. Bring your program sheet and draft schedule to your advisement meeting. |
