Because this is a one-way
event, which requires an early start, there are necessarily
logistical situations that must be worked out.
For example, you may
need transportation to the ride start. Or you may need transportation
home after your finish.
Here are some of the
things that can help you out:
* Parking is available
at ECSU - see map.
* Parking is available
at WCSU - see map.
* A commuter parking
lot at the N.Y. border is available. See the map for Leg
10.
* An AVIS rental
facility in Danbury is located about a mile from the N.Y. border. See
the map for Leg 10.
(Note: Enterprise,
which has a facility in both Danbury and Willimantic, will probably
not be useful since they do not have one-way rentals.)
* Bus transportation
(along with bicycle transport) will be available leaving a parking
lot at WCSU in Danbury for ECSU at Willimantic leaving at about
4:15 pm Saturday May 3.
* Bus transportation
(along with bicycle transport) will be available from ECSU to the start
location at the R.I. border leaving by 7 am (or at an agreed upon time)
on Sunday.
Because you
may live an appreciable distance from the ride start, you may want to
spend Sat. night near the start. Some of the options are explored
here.
