Students looking to careers as an elementary or secondary school teacher, with a background in biological sciences, have several options available.

Secondary Education - Biology
Students in secondary education complete only one specific major offered by the Department of Biological & Environmental Sciences. Additional courses are offered by the Department of Education. Elementary Education - Concentration in Biology
Students in elementary education complete two areas of study: one in elementary education within the Department of Education, and a specific academic major offered by the Department of Biological & Environmental Sciences. The Elementary Ed - Biology program sheet is available here.
