Science
faculty from the School of Arts & Sciences present summer workshops
to improve teachers' content knowledge and performance skills in
alignment with Connecticut science content standards. During
the fall and spring semesters, participating teachers and science
faculty will design and conduct research projects together.
Faculty from
the Department
of Education, School of Professional Studies,
will serve as performance
coaches by training
teachers to recognize and develop good science fair projects and
coach teachers to assess student performance in science.
Visiting instructors
will contribute further ideas and resources for creative science
instruction.
