FR 162 Introductory French I – 3 SH
A first-semester course in French. Aimed at developing the four basic skills (listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing), and preparing students for further study in the language. The discussion of distinctive cultural aspects of the Francophone world is an integral part of this course. General Education: Humanities/ World Languages and Literature (if FR 164 is successfully completed).
FR 164 Introductory French II – 3 SH
A second-semester course in French. Further development of the four basic skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. The discussion of distinctive cultural aspects of the Francophone world is an integral part of this course. Prerequisite: FR 162 with a minimum grade of “C-” or placement by oral interview. General Education: Humanities/ World Languages and Literature.
