GER 162 Introductory German I 3 SH
A first-semester course in German. Aimed at developing the four basic skills (listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing), and preparing students for further study in the language. The discussion of cultural aspects is an integral part of this course. General Education: Humanities/World Languages and Literature (if GER 164 is successfully completed).
GER 164 Introductory German II 3 SH
A second-semester course in German. Further development of the four basic skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. The discussion of distinctive cultural aspects is an integral part of this course. Prerequisite: GER 162 with a minimum grade of “C-” or placement by oral interview. General Education: Humanities/World Languages and Literature.
