Faculty participation

Faculty participation in "The CBR" is voluntary.

Research proposals submitted to "The CBR" and approved by the Board may be reviewed by faculty. 

Faculty volunteers may use the research projects as part of their course work, or work with individual students on the projects through Student Developed Studies or other vehicles. 

The CBR can act in two ways:

• as an intermediary between faculty and outside organizations (partially compensated or non-compensated projects), and

• as a research contractor directly employing students to conduct research under faculty supervision (compensated projects).

The CBR concept is consistent with the missions of WCSU and CSU. Specifically, The CBR will emphasize student achievement, encourage multidisciplinary perspectives, concentrate on applied research, and utilize current technologies.
