Spring 2012 Workshops

The Career Development Center offers a wide range of workshops to assist students with their career planning and job search.  Pre-registration is required for any of the workshops through our on-line College Central system.

Senior Recruiting Information Session:

Graduating Seniors who wish to participate in On/Off Campus Interview Program must attend one of the Recruiting Info Sessions. If you have a conflict with attending the Info Session please contact the Career Development Center at 203-837-8263.

Resume Workshops *

These workshop will cover resume content, styles and formats, and how to successfully market yourself through your resume. In addition, this semester we are also offering  "tailored" resume workshops. Workshops marked with a "B", will be "Basic Resume Writing Workshop" for new resume writers. Workshops marked with an "A" will be "Advanced Resume Writing Workshop" for students who have a current resume and want to enhance their resume style and format.

Interview Workshop

Come learn how to prepare for upcoming interviews, what to expect the day of the interview, strategies for fielding questions, and important follow-up after the interview.

Job Search  Workshop *

Learn job search strategies in a difficult economy; and tools you will need for a successful job search. Workshop will provide strategies to students with questions around their current job searches.

How To Make the Most of the Career Fair  Workshop *

Learn how to prepare for the upcoming CDC Career Fair on April 4th. Develop strategies on how to research participating employers in advance, identify your skills set, tips on making a good impression and post fair follow-up.

Bring your completed resume draft for review.
 
These critique sessions are open times for individual resume critiques on a first come, first served basis. Bring your completed resume to this critique. You do not need to pre-register for this activity.
