Why Collect This Data?

WestConn is the recipient of a federal grant to develop and implement evidence-based prevention programs to the historically underscored college-age population. Administering the Core Survey is an integral part of the grant process and allows us to:

Look at our current population before leaping into action.
Plan programs based on documented needs.
Measure progress and evaluation outcomes.

Careful planning, faculty support, and a solid methodology provided a representative sample of 992 students.
