Our Partnership with CEA (Connecticut Education Association)

CEA is the largest teachers union in CT. They advocate for public schools and teachers. They advocate for Educational policy, often getting involved with the political aspect of Education; they have made headlines for defending bills that could have forever changed the livelihood of teachers across the nation. When you become a member of the Education Club, you are not just joining one club. You also have the opportunity to become a CEA-SP (Student Program) Member. For $20, you receive amazing benefits which are listed below. More than these, you will have access to professional conferences, club events where you work with K-12 students, and the ability to network with the five state universities and their education majors. To be a member of CEA – which serves nearly 43,000 teachers statewide – is an incredible resume booster. You will become a part of something much bigger than yourself.

Why join CEA?

Our Events

The Education Club holds events every year that look to increase Education majors’ interaction with K-12 students, boost networking possibilities with teachers and administrators, and provide professional advice from those who are currently in the field. Some of these events, with descriptions, can be found on our website along with pictures detailing what we have done. Our officers, along with CEA consultants, plan these events so that prospective educators can build their experience working with students in an educational setting, so that when the professional semester comes around, the classroom is a familiar place to be, and not something new and intimidating.
