Advanced Certificate Program in Interdisciplinary Gerontological Studies
Course of Study
The program requires the completion of 12 credits of graduate level course work with several options to meet both individual and professional learning needs. The program is designed for part- time study, with evening courses offered during academic and summer semesters.
Four interdisciplinary core and four professional discipline specific curses are currently offered. All courses are 3 credits.

Depending on the discipline specific background of the student, individuals admitted into the Certificate Program can follow one of two pathways to achieve their 12 credits of coursework.
Pathway 1: General Interest
Complete all four of the following core courses. This pathway is
designated for those individuals with an interest in gerontology
(e.g., Health Education, Public Health, Community Health,
Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Psychology, Counseling or
Social Work).
