Paraprofessional in The Western Connection Program
The Western Connection Program will be hiring a person for the job of paraprofessional for this age-appropriate transition program for 18-21 year old special needs students. The program is a collaborative between local public schools districts and Western Connecticut State University.
The paraprofessional’s role is to support and assist the Special Education teacher. Work hours are M-F 7:30am – 2:00pm. The program calendar is August 31, 2006 through mid-June 2007.
The salary is approximately $11.00 per hour (currently in negotiation). There are paid vacation days, paid sick days, and one paid personal day. Also included in the benefits is a full health benefit package.
