COS Pivot
Western Connecticut State University subscribes to Pivot, a valuable search tool for locating funding opportunities and research collaborators. Formally known as COS (Community of Science), Pivot provides access to the most comprehensive global source of funding opportunities—totaling
over $33 billion and growing. You can access Pivot from any on-campus computer. Go to http://pivot.cos.com. To access Pivot off campus, you will need to create a Pivot account. To create a Pivot account, go to http://pivot.cos.com and click the "Sign up" option in the upper right of the screen.
An easy and convenient way to learn how to use the basic features of Pivot is to view the YouTube videos created by the parent company ProQuest. There are several short, informative videos available for you to watch at any time at your convenience. You may access these videos through the Pivot homepage and then by clicking on the "Support" tab. At the bottom of the page is a link to "Pivot Training Videos."
