Research Interests and Publications:
Professor Leopold published Alfred Hugenberg: The Radical Nationalist Campaign Against the Weimar Republic with Yale University Press in 1977. He has recently published articles and book reviews on German political history in the Historian; on the Holocaust in the Canadian Journal of History, the Holocaust Studies Annual, and the Connecticut Review; and other essays and reviews in the Catholic Historical Review, and Modern Germany: An Encyclopedia of History, People, and Culture. Professor Leopold's recent papers include those delivered at the Phi Alpha Theta National Convention, the National Meeting of the Catholic Interracial Council, and the Connecticut State University International Affairs Conference. He is also the faculty advisor of WestConn's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society.
