Planetarium Show: The Unseen Universe
The Unseen Universe planetarium show considers not only ways through
which astronomers explore the invisible structures and processes at work
in our dynamic universe, but also the bizarre idea that most of the
universe may be in forms that cannot be seen. This event follows a star
party format: viewing and informal conversations about the different
celestial objects that are visible and which we choose to view, such as
the bright planet Jupiter, with its bands of gases and four bright
moons, which is visible in the southwestern sky. Attendees will also
have the opportunity to view a nearby galaxy similar in size and form to
ours, through a 20-inch telescope,: the Andromeda Galaxy, a spiral
galaxy about 13 billion miles away. Weather permitting.
6 p.m., Westside Observatory & Planetarium, WCSU Westside campus. Free and open to the
public.
Class Reunions
We extend a special welcome to our reunion classes coming back to

mingle in private rooms located in the new Westside Campus Center
throughout the day and attend the grand reunion dinner dance in the evening.
