The Steven Neuwirth Honors Program Award
Beginning in the spring of 2005 the Honors Council began awarding the annual Neuwirth Honors Program Award. The award is given in the name of the late Steven Neuwirth who helped establish the program in the late 1980s and served as its first director. The Neuwirth Honors Program Award is given to recognize the honors student(s) who the Honors Council considers to have made the most important contribution to the Honors Program over the academic year. Students may be self-nominated or be nominated by other honors students or members of the Honors Council. The student(s) will be recognized with a certificate and a monetary award at the annual Arts & Sciences Honors Convocation in the spring semester.
