Resource Mentor
Academic Resource Mentors (ARMs) are members of the Department of Housing and Residence Life at Western Connecticut State University. They play an integral role in the establishment of an academic environment in the residence halls. ARMs are academic motivators who inspire creativity, providing guidance and direction to help peers focus on their academic goals and promoting a better community. They accomplish this by their availability to students, their consistency of services, and their knowledge of the campus and its resources, including PASS members (tutors), administrators, faculty, and others who might be of assistance to the resident student population.

Assistant
Resident Assistants (RAs) are members of the Department of Housing and Residence Life at Western Connecticut State University. RAs have responsibilities for the entire residence hall while focusing more specifically upon the responsibilities relating to their floor/section. They play an integral role in the establishment of an environment conducive to maximum academic, personal, and social development, and to maintaining healthy and safe living conditions. RAs also seek to promote a sense of community within the residence hall fostered by individual responsibility, mutual respect, and the pursuit of mutual interests.
