WCSU Changes to the 2012 DAS Holiday Schedule

 

The February 2012 Presidents' Holidays will be observed as follows:

 Academic Schedule:

The University will be closed Friday, February 17, 2012 through Monday, February 20, 2012 in observance of the Presidents’ Holidays.  No classes will be held.

AAUP, SUOAF-AFSCME, AFSCME-Clerical, and Management/Confidential Employees:

  • Lincoln's Birthday will be observed on Friday, February 17, 2012

  • Washington's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 20, 2012

 Maintenance & Service Union Employees:

  • Lincoln's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 13, 2012*

  • Washington's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 20, 2012*

 * If required to work on either of these days, employees will receive their regular days pay plus a compensatory day off in lieu of the holiday.  This compensatory day can be used at a later date.

 A & R Employees:

  • Lincoln's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 13, 2012*

  • Washington's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 20, 2012*

 * If required to work on either of these days, employees will receive a compensatory day off and will be paid at time and one-half for all hours worked on the holiday.  This compensatory day can be used at a later date.

 Connecticut Police & Fire Union:

  • Lincoln's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 13, 2012*

  •  Washington's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 20, 2012*

 * If required to work on either of these days the employee will receive a compensatory day off plus be paid straight time for all hours worked on the holiday in addition to their regular days pay.
