Assistant Football Coach

Part-Time

Multiple Positions Available

 

Western Connecticut State University, an NCAA Division III member, competing in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, invites applications for multiple part-time football coaching positions.  The review of applications begins immediately. These positions begin August 1, 2009 and continue until the end of the fall semester.  Contracts are renewable for the spring semester.  Duties will include recruiting, coaching a position, opponent scouting & video breakdown (LRS Sports), practice preparation, and other auxiliary duties as assigned.  Compensation for these positions will include a stipend and will be commensurate with experience.   

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required.  Previous coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level, is desirable. Knowledge and an understanding of NCAA rules/regulations for Division III Football is desired. Highly developed communication, organizational, managerial, and motivational skills are desired.  Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Playmaker software as well as Internet knowledge as it relates to scouting and recruiting.
