Head Women's Volleyball Coach

 

Western Connecticut State University invites applications for the position of Head Coach of Women’s Volleyball. This is a full-time position which will begin during Spring, 2012. Responsibilities: Successful operation and management of a women’s volleyball team. Job duties include, but are not limited to, recruitment of student-athletes; scheduling; budget management; fundraising; monitoring the academic progress of team members; organizing and administering a successful Division III athletics program by ensuring compliance with NCAA and University policies; counseling team members in academic, disciplinary, and personal matters; representing the WCSU Athletic Department at professional, civic, charity, and alumni events.

Qualifications:  Bachelors Degree, in a related field, is required. Experience coaching/playing volleyball at the collegiate level is required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and an understanding of the Division III student-athlete philosophy is required as is the ability to recruit female student-athletes. Excellent communication skills are required as is the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including students, administrators, faculty, and alumni.
