The Department of Chemistry at Western Connecticut
State University (WCSU) is seeking a highly
skilled and experienced educator to fill a tenure-track position
in Biochemistry. The
successful candidate will teach courses within their specialty,
introductory chemistry courses, and non-majors science courses.
It is expected that the appointee will develop an active research
program involving undergraduate students that complements the
department’s current research efforts in biochemistry. The successful
candidate is also expected to advise students and serve on departmental
and University committees.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Biochemistry, or
related field is required. Previous teaching experience in biochemistry
is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates whose research has a focus in
biomaterials or computational biochemistry.
The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to
excellence in teaching and undergraduate research.
