The Department of Communication seeks a tenure-track, Assistant Professor to teach media production, specifically courses in video production, pre and post production, media aesthetics, digital media, and/or media studies courses. The Communication program endeavors to provide a thorough, modern education in communication skills and theory that is tailored to the individual student’s background and career objectives. WCSU is a dynamic, diverse workplace and the ability to work with students, faculty and staff from various backgrounds and cultures is highly valued.

 

Qualifications:  The ability to teach emerging technologies and new media studies is desired and the ability to teach radio production and broadcasting is also a plus.  Demonstrated teaching excellence is required.  Creative activity in media production or scholarship in media studies appropriate to experience is expected, as is evidence of a commitment to university service.  Terminal degree in media production or media arts or highly-related field required (MFA or PhD).  Undergraduate or masters degrees in communication, media arts or video production a plus.
