WCSU’s Ancell School of
Business is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for
a tenure track position
in the Master’s of Health Administration Program in the Management
Department.
The successful candidate will teach and serve as the
MHA Coordinator. Teaching
assignments will include one or more of the following: Health Services
Financial Management, Managing Health Services Organizations, Health
Services Quality Management, or Strategic Management for Health
Services. The successful
candidate will serve as the MHA program coordinator. Teaching
assignments may also include undergraduate Management courses in the
Ancell School’s Bachelor of Business Administration program and may be
split between the Bachelor’s programs at our Danbury and Waterbury
campuses. Scholarly
activity is expected. In
addition, the successful candidate will participate in departmental and
university service, engage in professional activity, and will advise and
mentor students.
Qualifications: An
earned doctorate in Health Administration or a related field is
required. Final stage ABDs (with dissertation proposal successfully
defended) in Health Administration or a related field also considered.
College teaching experience is preferred.
Candidates must present evidence
of research and ppublication and an active agenda
of scholarship. Candidates
should be professionally active and engaged in college / university
service. Managerial
experience or program coordinator experience is a plus.

The Ancell School of Business is composed of five business administration departments: Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and the Division of Justice and Law Administration (JLA). The degrees offered are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Law Administration (BS) and Master of Science in Justice Administration (MSJA). The Management curriculum is designed to provide the student with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary in managerial and administrative positions in a variety of organizations.
