This senior level administrative support position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Primary duties include: administrative, representational, and executive secretarial support to the Vice President; office management and coordination; and event and activity coordination within a fast paced, demanding division.
Qualifications: Eight years of secretarial experience with at least five years directly serving a department head or as lead secretary to a senior level, higher ed or non-profit administrator is required. Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail and consistent follow through abilities are critical, as it is necessary to be able to successfully balance many unrelated tasks throughout the day, adjusting priorities as needed. The ability to track budgets, the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, experience with confidential materials, and exceptional customer service skills are also required. Demonstrated advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of entire Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
