Thursday, May 2, 2013. Ninth annual WestConn Research Day: 10 a.m. – 1p.m. Science Building, Midtown Campus. Boehringer Ingelheim manager Josh John will be the keynote speaker at 10 a.m. There will be a poster exhibition of research projects conducted by WCSU students in the Science Building Atrium. The event is free and open to the public. Saturday, May 4, 2013. My Sandy Hook Fund Benefit: 7-10 p.m. Westside Campus Center Ball Room. The Sigma Chi Fraternity, the WCSU Department of Music and the WCSU Campus & Student Centers Board will host a benefit featuring live music, dancing and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $20 for the public. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the My Sandy Hook Family Fund. To purchase tickets, visit here. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Lyme Disease Seminar and Health Fair: 5p.m. Westside Campus Center Ballroom. Dr. Raphael B. Stricker, IGeneX Laboratory founder; IGeneX President and CEO Dr. Nick Harris and Lyme Disease Association President Pat Smith will discuss "Visionaries in Lyme Disease Testing, Treatment, Research and Advocacy."
