Student ‘H Drive’ migration to Microsoft OneDrive – November 22
Your Information Technology and Innovation team are pleased to announce a new and exciting way to store and access your files – Microsoft OneDrive. Part of the new Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive allows you to store and access your files from anywhere, on any device. Unlike our current ‘shared H drive’, OneDrive integrates with many other exciting Office 365 features, allowing for improved sharing and collaboration.
We will be making the switch from our current ‘shared H drive’ to OneDrive this semester and we want you to understand how and when this will be done to allow for a smooth transition.
At the start of the Fall 2017 semester, August 29, you will no longer be able to store new files to your ‘H drive’. All new files should be saved to your personal OneDrive, which is accessible via your Office 365 account.
Files that are currently stored on your ‘H drive’ will continue to be accessible (read-only) up until November 22 (start of Thanksgiving recess). At that time, you will need to ensure all files you wish to save are migrated to your new OneDrive. Instructions on how to move your files can be found below. Your ‘H drive’ will be removed and no longer accessible after November 22 so please be sure to move your files prior to that date.
