Professor-Tenure Track

The Department of
Mathematics is pleased to announce a new tenure track position beginning in Fall
2013. Duties of the successful candidate will include teaching mathematics
classes at all levels, academic advising, serving on committees, carrying on
creative activity, and participating in departmental and university governance.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field is required. If Ph.D is in a
related field, a Masters in Mathematics is required. Preference will be given to
candidates with specialization or expertise in math history or elementary school
pedagogy. Other evaluation criteria will include: teaching experience; a record
of, or potential for scholarship; a record of, or potential for service to the
university community; and appropriate technology experience.

The
Department of Mathematics offers a graduate program leading to an MA in
mathematics as well as undergraduate programs that lead to both a BA and a BS in
mathematics. BS programs in both
Elementary Education and Secondary Education are offered. Departmental faculty
have diverse interests including Algebra, Dynamical Systems, History of
Mathematics, Statistics, Geometry, Teacher Education and Applications of
