WCSU students present one-act plays

image of poster for one-act playsDANBURY, Conn. — Students in the directing class taught by Professor of Theatre Arts Sal Trapani at Western Connecticut State University will present “No Strings Attached: An Evening of One-Act Plays” in the Studio Theatre of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20-22, 2019. The performances are free, but due to limited seating, reservations are required. The plays, each about 10 minutes in length, are:

“Bright Apple, Crush,” directed by Ashleigh Shaw. Meredith Yoho is the stage manager and Ryan Denmark is the lighting designer. Actors include Laura Roberts, Patrick Cassidy and Kayla Fischer. Mia Grossman is the understudy.

“Death Valley DQ,” directed by Anna V. Samantha Michaud is the lighting designer. Actors include Raissatou Karim, Tori M. Lopez and Tim Halligan.

“Family By Numbers,” directed by Jamie Leo. Dania Fedrick is the stage manager and Jenna Atherton is the lighting designer. Actors include Brian O’Sullivan, Chrystal Campbell, Raul Calerdon, Elizabeth Quinby and Ana Bourque.

“Five Characters in Search of an Exit,” directed by Kevin Geraghty. Sophie Ritchie is the stage manager and Emily Pelella is the lighting designer. Actors include Zach Brown, Cara Leahy, Abigail Cunningham, Tony DeZinno and Keron Medina.

“Happy Meal,” directed by Jared Hirsch. Rachel Lubrino is the stage manager and Abby Murray is the lighting designer. Actors include Chelsea Weaver, Braeden Stout, Alyssa McDonald, Victoria D’Orazio and Jessica Abbotts.

“Her-icane,” directed by Henry Gough and Katie Giradot. Victoria Santiago is the stage manager and Hunter Wells is the lighting designer. Danielle D’Avanzo and Drew Gillotti are assistant lighting designers. Actors include Olivia Rando, Julia Morin and Ryan Hemstock.

“Holy Sh*t,” directed by Dante Cyr. Eric Hager is the stage manager and Lane Shoemaker is the lighting designer. Actors include Owen Smith, Alex Rushton, Elias Levy and Crystal Madore.

“Naomi in the Living Room,” directed by Zane Bendici. Kelly McFarland is the stage manager and Katie Girardot is the lighting designer. Actors include Bella DiMartino, Ben Baumgartner and Gabrielle Christofor.

“Tape,” directed by Jordan Cowan. Jenna Drahota is the stage manager and Anna V. is the lighting designer. Actors include Brooke Wallace, Reagan Smith, Grace O’Malley and Rebecca Donaghy.

“The Way, The Truth, The Life,” directed by Camry Young. Rhiannon McCaffrey is the stage manager and RJ Bouges is the lighting designer. Actors include Joey Taylor, Haley Napier, Julia, Bussell and Brianna Cacciola.

“What Can We Do,” directed by David Jonikas. Mackenzie Wingage is the stage manager, Tim Schoeberl is the lighting designer and Michael Pertoso is the assistant lighting designer. Actors include Hunter Chicoine, Maya Daley, Beckett Pais and Alex Ratkovits.

Silvio Sweet will operate the sound board and Jessica Cohen will operate the lighting board for all performances.
