WCSU campus bells to toll 26 times on Friday morning
DANBURY, CONN. — In response to a proclamation signed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy declaring Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, a “Day of Mourning,” Western Connecticut State University will ring the bells atop Alumni Hall on the Midtown campus 26 times to commemorate the students and teachers whose lives were taken at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The bells will begin to chime on White Street at 9:30 a.m.
