Sandy Hook benefit at WCSU
DANBURY, CONN. —The Sigma Chi Fraternity, the Department of Music and the Campus & Student Centers Board of Western Connecticut State University will host a benefit to show support for those directly affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy. The event will be from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in the Campus Center Ballroom on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Tickets will be $10 for students with a valid I.D. and $20 for the public, and can be purchased at www.wcsu.edu/tickets or (203) 837-TIXX.
This benefit will consist of raffles and giveaways, live entertainment provided by the WCSU Jazz Orchestra, dancing, hors d’oeuvres and performances by various a cappella groups. The event is funded by the WCSU Programs & Activities Council and the Student Government Association. All proceeds from admissions and raffles will be donated directly to the My Sandy Hook Family Fund.
