WCSU to present spring semester biology research seminar
DANBURY, CONN. — Topics in pharmacology will be explored in a seminar presented by the Western Connecticut State University Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences during the spring semester at WCSU.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, “The Impact of Cardiovascular Pharmacology Research in Drug Discovery” will be presented by Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals senior principal scientist Dr. Ryan Fryer. Fryer, recipient of a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from the Medical College of Wisconsin, is the author of more than 50 articles published in scientific journals and has conducted research on pharmacological approaches to treat cardiovascular, renal and other diseases. He serves on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
