WestConn Events - CAPITAL PUNISHMENT LECTURE

NOV. 18The division of Justice and Law Administration and the Connecticut Network to Abolish the Death Penalty will present "Seventeen Years to Freedom" at 7 p.m. in Room 127 of the Westside Classroom Building on the WestConn Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Juan Roberto Melendez, who spent 17 years on Florida's death row for a crime he did not commit, will discuss his ordeal, his exoneration and his release. Melendez was the 99th death row prisoner in the country to be exonerated and released between 1973 and 2002. The talk will be free and the public is invited.
