WestConn Events - YOGA MEDITATION SERIES
The Institute for Holistic Health Studies at WCSU will host a series of free meditation classes, "Sahaja Yoga Meditation, at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month in Room 103 of Warner Hall on the WCSU Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a simple yet profound guided meditation with easy to do hand movements all done while sitting in the comfort of a chair. Sahaja Yoga Meditation, founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, is practiced in more than 100 countries. The purpose of this meditation is to awaken kundalini energy to create a state of thoughtless awareness. The benefits of this meditation include inner peace, happiness, clarity, improved focus, stress reduction, relaxation and improved physical health. The class will be conducted by Jesse Rovero.
