The Nursing Department at Western Connecticut State University extends sincere greetings to prospective students, current students, and our internal and external community partners.  Our faculty creates and sustains a culture of caring within a dynamic educational setting.  As professionals and expert educators we strive to enhance the learning environment for students by providing comprehensive professional programs.  We offer programs of study designed to engage the adult learner, stimulate the acquisition of new knowledge and skills, and enhance the foundations of the more advanced professional practice roles.

The faculty is pleases to announce that Western Connecticut State University and Southern Connecticut State University will offer a joint Education Doctorate in Nursing Education program beginning in the Fall 2012 semester.  This program is designed to prepare nursing faculty for higher education settings.  We are truly excited at the prospect of offering this fully on-line program.

With great enthusiasm we welcome you to investigate our nursing programs of study and encourage you to enjoy the educational journey as much as we do.
