Dear Nursing Student,
How quickly time goes by! I hope that your semester is going well. Advisement time is upon us. I am requesting that you come to meet with your advisor prepared with a copy of your transcripts, plans for next semester, a copy of the degree audit (if appropriate) and a list of questions. This will help the faculty to help you. Also, while visiting with your advisor please make sure to fill out a photo release form. You may leave the completed form in my mailbox.
If you haven't heard by now the health requirements for the various clinical agencies are changing. Please read the posted policies outside the nursing office. If you are planning on going to a NY State clinical agency this is especially urgent. I don't want you to miss out come January!
There are many events offered on campus that I hope many of you will attend. On November 14, 2007 at 5:30 pm in Warner Hall, we will be honoring one of our own at the Distinguished Alumni Award. Please join the Nursing Faculty and members of the community in recognizing a graduate of our program.
If you are interested in get involved in the Student Nurses Association please contact Professor Palladino or Professor Lajoie. We're looking for a few good students!
I am anticipating a setting a blog entitled "ask the chair" in the near future so please check the website for further details.
